We offer soil mixes, mulches, and compost for sale by full and half-yard increments.

Need a bulk delivery? Depending on the material chosen, we can deliver up to 15 cubic yards. We provide bulk deliveries to a select number of cities in Contra Costa County. Standard delivery fees apply. Please inquire with your salesperson.


Bulk Soils

Devil Mountain Mix
50% Brown sandy loam, 25% mushroom compost, and 25% composted organic material. Use to fill low spots in the ground or to increase volume in containers. Mix into existing soil when planting trees, shrubs, vegetables, and flower beds. Plant directly in the mix in pots or add to existing soil.

Manuel’s Mix
Combination of 1/3 sand, 1/3 fir bark, 1/3 fine fir bark. Use for planting in containers. Also for planting trees, shrubs, and perennials in the ground. Good for planting azaleas, camellias, and other acid-loving plants.


Bulk Mulches and Amendments

Fir Bark 1/4-0
Very fine fir bark. Use as top-dressing to control weeds and conserve moisture as well as give the garden a finished look. Great as a soil additive to increase drainage.

Fir Bark 3/16-5/16
Small fir bark. Use as top-dressing to control weeds and conserve moisture as well as give the garden a finished look.

Black Mini Bark
Black dyed fir bark. Use as top-dressing to control weeds and conserve moisture as well as give the garden a finished look.

Black Shredded Redwood
Redwood bark that has been shredded and dyed black. Use as top-dressing to control weeds and conserve moisture as well as give the garden a finished look.

Shredded Redwood
Redwood bark that has been shredded. Use as top dressing to control weeds and conserve moisture as well as give the garden a finished look. Will turn gray with age.

50/50 Compost
50% mushroom compost and 50% ground and composted wood products. Excellent organic soil conditioner for planting trees, shrubs, and perennials. Use as top dressing when seeding a lawn. Great for loosening clay.
