Rhododendron 'Polarnacht'

An evergreen shrub with a low, wide habit. Mid to late spring bloom. Funnel-shaped flowers grow in dome-shaped trusses. Flowers are purplish red with dark red spotting. Attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Dark green leaves are elliptic and leathery. Hardy to -10 degrees F. Needs acidic soil, pH 4.5 - 6.0.
