Western Virgin's Bower, Pepper Vine
A California native deciduous vine with wiry, climbing tendrils. Flowers are saucer-shaped and clustered on stems. Petals are creamy white and have a velvety texture. Stamens are extra showy. Feathery, spherical seed heads remain after petals drop. Leaflets are rich green and more or less heart-shaped. Beneficial for hummingbirds, butterflies, and native bees. Similar to C. lasiantha, but more vigorous.
