An herbaceous perennial that forms a mounding ground cover. Light violet-blue, pale-centered flowers are dainty, saucer-shaped, and set atop forked stems. Long bloom cycle lasts from spring through fall. Dark green leaves are deeply lobed. Foliage tints red in fall.
